On April 2, 1922, nine members of the "A'huza Alef-New York" group left the Lilienblum-Herzl neighborhood in Tel-Aviv aboard two loads drawn by two mules and a horse. A few kilometers away, traveling slightly northeast, they reached their destination without realizing that they were at the origin of the creation of one of Israel's most attractive urban areas, Raanana.
Located in the south of the central region, Raanana is at the crossroads of Tel-Aviv-Kfar Saba and Netanya-Ashdod. At the end of the 1960s, 8,500 inhabitants resided there over an area of 15 square kilometers, and it was only in 1980 that Raanana was officially recognized as a city.
Since the beginning, the municipality has been located on A'huza, the main central avenue that crosses the city from east to west, lined with shops, restaurants and a cultural center. It is housed in the "People's House," a building constructed in 1927 and financed by the American Company for Jewish settlement in Israel. It is strongly marked by the personality of Baruch Ostrovsky, its first council president. Born in Russia in 1890, immigrated to Israel in 1912, he was mayor of the city from 1931 to 1955 and from 1957 to 1959. Throughout his life, he devoted himself fully to the construction and development of the settlement. He worked to create the first industrial infrastructure in order to promote new jobs for immigrants and residents.
A cosmopolitan city par excellence, Raanana (70,782 inhabitants in 2015) welcomes more than twenty nationalities. Walking along the main avenue, it is common to hear several languages spoken. A host city for many years, particularly for English-speaking aliyah (English, Americans, South Africans, Canadians) and Spanish-speaking, Raanana was in the spotlight in the 90s during the "Russian wave." For nearly a decade, this phenomenon has been particularly illustrated for French speakers, seeking a well-rated city that meets their expectations, where life is good.
Indeed, Raanana is an extremely well-located city, central, reassuring and well-managed, ideal for family life with beautiful communities, recognized schools, broad infrastructure, where the train and Tel-Aviv metro will soon arrive.
This urban community brings together both secular residents, present in the majority, and practicing residents, Orthodox to traditional Jews, distributed among the hundred synagogues that the city has. The educational offering is in this sense also varied with twelve elementary schools, ten middle schools and eight high schools as well as two higher education institutions, the Open University of Israel and Raanana College.
THE AGENCIES' OPINION
LeMag' asked four questions to three real estate agencies in Raanana.
1 - Tell us about your agency: When was it founded? What are its strengths? What is its specialty?
2 - What is your vision of real estate in Raanana?
3 - Give us three reasons to acquire real estate in Raanana.
4 - Define Raanana in four strong words.
HamoriaH
1 -Above all, HamoriaH is not an agency, but more precisely an expert in the real estate investment sector in Israel. Our offices being located in Jerusalem, we carry out investments throughout the territory.
Our vocation is not at all the search for apartments or houses responding to a demand for acquisition by individuals, at first glance.
HamoriaH focuses exclusively on targeted real estate operations for investors wishing to grow their wealth.
This translates into the choice of projects that are distinguished by high-end services and high quality realization, essentially through maximum optimization in terms of investment.
Where applicable, we only carry out this type of operation with major real estate developers known and recognized on a national scale, in order to guarantee and optimize our partners' assets.
And indeed, it is customary that on these transactions are added individual buyers who are happy to benefit from advantages they could not have obtained through a classic circuit.

To respond to this demand, we conducted long negotiations to achieve the Concept-In Raanana real estate operation.
3-
The mere fact of acquiring property in Israel is a valid reason in itself.
Moreover, demand being higher than supply, new property prices continue to rise.
Finally,
Raanana, for its part, is strong with numerous immigrant communities, it therefore naturally offers a lifestyle allowing a smooth adaptation for newcomers.

My agency was created 15 years ago, in Raanana.
Our strengths are...personalized service, support in all formalities and beyond (integration, school, etc...). We are a trustworthy and loyal agency.
2-
Real estate in Raanana is experiencing a slight slowdown and a change in the level of products sought. If luxury products were previously the most sold and most demanded products, today, it is mainly properties whose price does not exceed 3,500,000 shekels on average.
The market is nevertheless doing well and I don't think there is a significant drop in prices. Raanana still has a bright future. The city just celebrated its 95th anniversary and we see it developing day by day.
3-
Its cultural and intellectual level, its population (varied, High-Tech sector), its proximity to the center, its educational system and especially its cleanliness!
