In reality, this tunnel serves as the structure for an 'eco-bridge' allowing the surrounding wildlife to cross from one side of the road to the other. 70 meters wide and 6 kilometers long, this bridge is located between 'Sha'ar Hagai' and Shoresh, an ecologically rich region with many animal species (deer, coyotes and other foxes) that are regularly found dead on the road after trying to cross the highway.
