Smart investors see it as an undervalued city with significant potential.

Netivot is a city with a strong traditional Sephardic identity, inherited from its Moroccan, Tunisian and Indian founders. The majority of residents are traditional or religious Jews (masorti and dati), with a Haredi minority. The city also welcomes young families from Ashkelon and Beer Sheva attracted by the prices. The French-speaking community is growing, particularly of Moroccan origin.

The tomb of Rabbi Yisrael Abuhatzeira, known as Baba Sali (1890-1984), is one of the main pilgrimage sites of world Sephardic Judaism. The annual Hilloula (anniversary of his death) attracts hundreds of thousands of faithful. This spiritual dimension makes Netivot a major religious center and generates an active seasonal tourism economy.

Train via Sderot-Netivot station: 1h30 to Tel Aviv, connections to the whole country. Route 25 then Highway 6: about 1h15 by car. Direct buses to Tel Aviv Arlozorov. For Ashkelon (20 min) or Beer Sheva (30 min), direct journey via national roads. The city is not ideal for daily commuters to Tel Aviv, rather for those working in the south.
