Rishon LeZion is the third largest city in Israel with about 260,000 inhabitants, located 15 km south of Tel Aviv. A seaside, industrial and residential city, it offers a rare balance between accessibility to Gush Dan, extended seafront, modern infrastructure and prices significantly lower than Tel Aviv. Its name means "the first in Zion", referring to its status as the first modern Jewish city founded in the Land of Israel (1882).

Founded in 1882 by Russian pioneers of the Hovevei Zion movement, Rishon LeZion is the first of the country's modern Jewish settlements. Financially supported by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, it saw the birth of Israel's first winery (Carmel Winery, still active), the first school in modern Hebrew, the first Israeli flag. This pioneering history has left a rich historic city center and a particular attachment to Israeli national identity. The city then experienced spectacular industrial and then residential expansion from the 1970s.

For a 4-room apartment, expect between 2,000,000 and 3,500,000 ₪ depending on the neighborhood. Neot Ashalim and the seafront start around 3,000,000 ₪ and can exceed 4,500,000 ₪ for penthouses. Nahalat Yehuda and Kiriat Ganim range between 2,400,000 and 3,200,000 ₪. The southern neighborhoods offer more accessible prices from 1,900,000 ₪. The gross rental yield is 3.5 to 4.5%. Price progression is sustained (+50% in 10 years).

Rishon LeZion is perfectly connected: direct train to Tel Aviv (15 min to Savidor from Rishon LeZion HaRishonim station), Ayalon highway and route 4, future red line of light rail with terminus in Rishon.
