Gan Yavne is a small residential town in full growth, located 30 km south of Tel Aviv, in close proximity to Ashdod. With about 30,000 inhabitants, it attracts young families and modern religious communities seeking a calm environment, more affordable prices than central Israel, and good road and rail connections. Its name means "the garden of Yavne," referring to the nearby ancient city.
Founded in 1931 by immigrant pioneers, Gan Yavne long remained a small agricultural moshav. Its spectacular transformation began in the 2000s, with the opening of new residential neighborhoods designed to accommodate a young and religious population. Since 2010, the population has doubled, driven by an ambitious urban planning program and the continuous delivery of modern new developments.
The city is now recognized for its quality of life: proximity to the beach (15 minutes from Ashdod), quality schools, modern religious infrastructure (synagogues, mikvaot, Torah schools), parks and green spaces. Gan Yavne particularly attracts young national religious couples (dati leumi) who find a dynamic community there. Real estate demand is strong and sustained by demographic growth.
The most sought-after neighborhoods
Neot HaKerem — the flagship neighborhood of the 2010-2020 period. Modern buildings of 4 to 8 floors, parks, daycare centers, schools. The majority of recent deliveries are concentrated there. Profile: young modern religious families.
Bar Levav — recent extension north of the city, developed since 2015. New buildings, new school infrastructure, new commercial services. Excellent option for a new purchase at reasonable price.

For a 4-room apartment, expect between 1,700,000 and 2,400,000 ₪ depending on the neighborhood and age of the property. New properties in Neot HaKerem and Bar Levav start around 2,000,000 ₪.
