Ashdod is the rising city in Israel. The sixth largest city in the country with over 230,000 inhabitants, it combines a Mediterranean waterfront, a major commercial port, still accessible prices and one of the fastest development rates in the country. Today, Ashdod is proud of its port — the busiest in Israel — and its marina. The city is organized into 17 residential neighborhoods, with kilometers of pristine beaches and a developing waterfront promenade. About 38% of the population comes from recent immigration: former USSR, Ethiopia, France, Latin America. This diversity gives the city unique energy and cultural richness.
